DIVE

A VR wreck-diving experience

DIVE is a VR wreck diving experience created as a school project in our Modelling & Animation class with a team of 12 people. Our goal was to have a working prototype at the end of january / mid february and to present it at the SRH booth at Gamescom 2018!

In DIVE, the VR diver’s goal is to recover a hidden treasure with the help of a supporter. The diver has to communicate and work together with his teammate as he only has limited oxygen and unstable power to his helmet lamp, without he can hardly see anything in the shipwreck.

The diver’s safety is however not only threatened by the wreck itself. There are also other creatures luring for him down there. This is where the supporter, who is stationed on the surface, comes into play. He has the equipment to replenish the diver’s oxygen and ensure a constant power source. The supporter is also the one who has a map of the sunken ship. The diver is only equipped with a compass.
